Dr David Drake

Dr David Drake is the CEO for Center for Narrative Coaching and the creator of Narrative Design Labs. He founded the field of narrative coaching and has presented extensively on his pioneering work. The Center is developing hubs in Sydney through a partnership with Channel Group (coaching in organisations), in Toronto through the Canadian Centre for Narrative Coaching (social innovation), and in London through work with Oxford-Brookes Business School (coaching mastery). David has also worked in depth with over thirty organisations to integrate coaching in how change happens and work gets done, including an innovative multi-year project with PwC in Australia.

David has been an adjunct faculty or guest lecturer at fifteen universities in Australia, US and Europe. He is Associate Editor for Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice and on the Editorial Board for two journals. He is the author of 35 publications on narratives and coaching and the editor for The Philosophy and Practice of Coaching (2008, Jossey-Bass). His next book will be Coaching and Organizational Culture: A Narrative Perspective (Routledge).
