Maya Carson

Maya has a genuine interest in people, particularly in their personality, and how this affects communication in the workplace.

Maya works with individuals and teams to develop and optimise skills, whilst challenging habitual patterns of thinking and behaving. She believes that workplace performance is enhanced by developing leadership and management competencies, and enjoys facilitating clients’ insights around interpersonal communication and emotional intelligence.

With a background in the Public Health sector and as a University Educator, Maya has more recently applied her skills in the corporate arena. Her industry experience includes health, information technology, financial services, telecommunications and travel.

Maya’s interactive approach to facilitation uses principles of adult learning to ensure the transfer of new skills and information. She has extensive experience with both large and small groups, and uses real stories and case studies to enhance learning.

Maya’s approach to coaching emphasises the use of evidence-based techniques incorporates models and theories including motivational interviewing, understanding and managing change, and effective goal setting strategies, techniques which support sustainable behavioural change.
