Paul Barry

Paul combines a wealth of executive-level experience in the public, banking & finance and media sectors with high-level study and skills in coaching, counseling, psychology, and economics and finance. He was with the Reserve Bank of Australia for 35 years, working in a diverse range of functions, much of it at high managerial and executive level.  He has well-developed leadership, communication and analytical skills.

Paul’s approach to coaching is underpinned by a deep belief in the potential of people to grow and develop in their working and personal lives and in the capacity of coaching to facilitate this, in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, through providing empathic, challenging and pragmatic support.   Paul instills trust in those he works with and his genuine care for others readily disables anxiety and ambiguity and fosters confidence and personal growth.

Paul is particularly skilled at helping individuals and teams navigate challenges in interpersonal relations, effective team performance, strategic thinking and negotiating major transitions at work and in life generally.
