John Martin
John has dealt with and managed a wide range of strategy, communications and leadership issues facing boards and companies today. John’s unique skills and experience come from a broad and successful professional and business career. His background includes being an experienced company director, chief executive of ASX listed companies and a former corporate and executive partner of Allen Allen & Hemsley where he specialised in M&A, capital raisings and securities law across a wide range of industries.
John left the Allens partnership in 2000 to focus on his interest in advising and building emerging biotechnology companies. John is a former director of both Proteome Systems and BTF and a current director of Regeneus. In 2004, he helped rebuild Primelife Corporation into a leader in the senior living market. In 2007, as MD and CEO of Primelife, John led the recapitalization of the company and its merger with PrimeLiving Trust and Fini. This merger created Babcock & Brown Communities as the largest ASX listed owner, operator and developer of retirement and aged care facilities. In late 2008, John led the sale of BNB’s interest in BBC to Lend Lease including the merger of BBC with Lend Lease’s retirement business to create Lend Lease Primelife.
